    Crash in XP

I have loaded on two systems WinXP. I am unable to complete or even begin a conversion before DMC crashes. I am able to load the desired music, select my desired output, and even select my output folder. At the point I begin to convert, the program crashes. The beginning of a conversion and crash, not a single second is converted before crashing. I have tried the program on two separate computers and the same result. I am trying to convert vqf files and mp4 files created by Nero 6 Ultra Edition to regular mp3 files. Is this possible? or are the files protected. I assume DMC will not convert m4p protected by iTunes? Regardless, I have tried regular mp3 files and haven't had a problem. Only problems are those rips done with Nero 6 Ultra and conversion of protected m4p iTunes. If DMC does not convert these files, then I understand.

    Thanks for the help.

You answered you own question when you said
"Only problems are [...] protected m4p iTunes".

If the files are protected, of course you can't transcode them, or else, what would be the use of protecting the files?

It should do the mp4 files from Nero, try installing the mp4 >> acc codec from Beta section of the forum, if you can get to AAC, then you should be able to install the AAC codec and convert again.
