    flac padding question

Following a tidy up of images in my library many flac items have large padding spaces within them. So I've been trying to use the convert flac to flac function to reduce this. In the dbPoweramp configuration I have padding set to 4K actually I've not changed it. But when I do a convert the resultant files have 2k padding down from several hundred K. Could you explain what's happening please?

Secondly, from the filer within an album I can right button click and do a a conversion on all the tracks of the album, works great. Very surprised I can't seem to do this from a level above ie. select the album folder and convert the contents. So I thought, perhaps I should try batch convert. Weird, although I have the test album on PC hard drive selected, the batch converter some how finds the library version on the NAS and wants to convert that. I don't understand that at all.

    Advice appreciated..

    Thanks.

    Bob.

2K is better than hundreds. Really flac padding is not required, worse case on a tag edit the file is shuffled.

Batch converter is needed yes, for that.
