    Replacing default tags

How can I replace the default tags with tags set in the tags section of dBpoweramp? For example replace Artist with soloist?

When converting you can use ID Tag processing to map soloist to artist, or convert the file to 'ID Tag Update' which updates the existing tags, and you can do the same.

Thank you for your prompt reply. Unfortunately I am not familiar with converting in the context of ripping and tagging CDs. Is there a document which describes how to do what you describe?

What action are you taking? ripping, converting existing files? or editing tags only for existing files?

I was hoping I could set up revised tags before strting to rip, but I could edit the tags after ripping if that would be easier.

It is best to set the tags before ripping, then they will be in the right fields already. Normally soloist would not be present in CD Ripper.

My copy of the ripper is dbpoweramp Reference R16.1. I would like to use the converter to change tags as you suggested earlier. My problem is that I cannot find the converter program which, after reading the website, i expected to find packaged with dbpoweramp ripper.. I must have misread the details of these programs wrongly! i would appreciate your help yet again.

Select file >> right click >> Convert To

                That is the converter
