    Ultra-sonic noise problem.

I purchased dbpoweramp recently and using it to convert DSF to DOP(Flac), but everytime when a song finish theres noise which last 2-3 secs just right before another song comes in, is there any way to solve this problem???

    Thank you very much.

Is the problem within the files, or is it a problem of your player? Did you try different ones?

      Hi,

have the same issue as SamHo using the following settings in the Advance Options:

      DSD Processing: Embed as DoP
      Decoding Down Sample: 96KHz (recommended)

My USB Dac is capable of native DSD as well as DoP.

      Any tip would be appreciated.

      Thanks in advance.
      Cheers,
      M.

Perhaps your player is resampling the DoP audio, you would need a bit perfect player.

          Hi Spoon,

          thanks for the swift response.

I was using a RPi2 w/piCorePlayer 2.0 feeding my USB DAC. All music is stored on a NAS.

So if I understood you correctly the piCorePlayer might be the bottleneck therefore I just checked and substituted the RPi2 with the Squeezebox Touch (which is bit perfect if its volume is set to max).

Unfortunately there is still this hiss noise starting 2 seconds before the end of the song.

is there anything else I should/could change in the settings? Maybe "Decoding Down Sample" to 176KHz?

          Appreciate your thougths.
          Thanks in advance.

          Cheers,
          M

DoP encoding does not have a sample rate, it is the raw data embedded into the lossless stream, so there are no settings.

                Thanks Spoon,

any other thoughts to narrow the cause for this hiss?

                Cheers,
                M.
