    Poweramp not working

Hi, I have just started using poweramp and the cd ripper works perfectly, however i have tried using the music converter and after adding files and pressing the convert button it just hangs. I have re-installed the software and it is up to date, I have also added poweramp folder to the trusted software on my antivirus but still no joy. I am using windows 11 by the way, does anyone have any suggestions as to what i may try to get it working ?

If you do not offer any actual details we cannot possibly offer any assistance.

What are you converting from and to? where are the files? all on local SSD? Windows or macOS? What is your antivirus?

How are you adding files? right click in Explorer >> convert to? and it freezes after clicking Convert To (where choose encoder)? Which OS version do you have?

          Please post more details.
What file format are you converting from / to ?
Dark mode in effect or not?
Exact version of Windows - full version code from the Settings app?
Pictures or even videos of what exactly happens most welcome.

I have the same problem. I have some DSF files from vinyl that pop loudly between tracks. I want to trim the last second off the tracks to avoid the pop. After install, it works one time. It hangs for every operation after that, meaning, when I hit Convert, all dBPoweramp windows go away. Windows 11 Home, version 24H2

I disabled it and allowed musicconverter through, but it still will not work. This is the paid version too, so $48 I can't yet use.

I downloaded a previous version (Nov 2024) and everything works great. I uninstalled current version (that I paid for) and scrubbed the registry.

                      Was your computer using Darkmode?

What is the exact workflow? you select files in Windows explorer >> right click >> on options page click 'Convert' and everything disappears?

Are you running any Windows enhancement, such as 'Classic Shell'?

I'm sorry but we can't recreate this problem.

Is Dark Mode used or not?

Screenshot picture of what exactly happens?

If dBpoweramp just disappears (crashes?), screenshot of last window you see before it disappears?

                          EDIT

Problem recreated, apparently DSD is the culprit somehow, investigating.
Are all of you converting DSD to another format?

To get out of lockup loop:
                            Open regedit.exe
                            Go to Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Illustrate\dBp oweramp
                            Delete dMCLastCodec value

An update fixing this bug will be released shortly, thank you for your patience.
