    ID Tag Processing as UDTI

    Hello,

I want to write the FLAC compression level I use to the standard ID field "Encoder Settings" so I can reference it later. In dBpoweramp music converter I have a profile for Uncompressed, as an example, that I have added the DSP "ID Tag Processing" choosing the Encoder Settings from the drop down list and placed my desired value. When I execute this the info is written to a User Defined Text Info field versus the standard field - see screen shots. If doesn't matter if the field is present before or not its the same result. Any idea why this is being written as a UDTI?

Certain tagging formats have predefined short names for the tags, for example ID3v2 might have album as 'TALB', and a undefined tag goes in as TXXX with the name.

FLAC uses vorbis comments and there is no such thing as user defined, storing album in flac is 'Album', the actual name, so that tag editor is just showing a tag name it does not recognise as userdefined.

Thanks - will do some more investigating on the internal mapping of the editor.
