    Free Data Base

    Hello,
I uploaded the Freedb data base and want Poweramp to use it instead of using an Internet connection. How do I tell the program that my database is in e:\cddb ?

    Many thanks

On the latest Beta version of dMC >> Audio CD Input >> Options, select the line that says Freedb - Server and click Select >> Check OffLine

      Re: Free Data Base

      Hello Spoon,
And thanks for your reply. I tried all the possible actions (uninstal, wiping the repertory, deleting all the entries in the registry base, rebooting and reinstalling) but always got the message " Unable to retreive freedb site lists, please check your internet connection " when I clicked on " Select " (if I was online, I could choose my server but didn't had the option "offline server". I finally installed the program on another PC, copied the folder on my PC... and it works now (!) All is well that ends well.
      Thanks again, and good bye...

You might have had an older version of dMC.

            Hi,

To download the freedb database, go to http://www.freedb.org/ then click on "download". The PC version is about 280 Mo in .tar or .zip. You can use the compression format .rar you prefer (the archive is only 240 Mo).

            Best regards,
