    Converter Doesn't Truly Finish

I recently started using dBpoweramp and I'm loving everything so far. I have ripped a bunch of CDs and I just started converting them. I'm having an odd issue, though: the converter never actually finishes. At the top of the conversion window it says "Finished" but within the conversion window it says it still has "x seconds left" (x has differed from track to track). The image below will give a better idea of what I'm talking about.

I have tried a test conversion and the same thing happens. I have also tried different formats (e.g., MP3, FLAC, etc.). Additionally, I have tried both batch conversions and individual conversions and it doesn't make a difference: the converter hangs at the end.

I have checked the destination folder and there are indeed converted files there, so maybe everything is just fine. Even so, I wanted to check to make sure. Also, the error log is not appearing, and it would be nice to know if there were errors during the conversion!

Any guidance or tips would be wonderful!

Here is system and software info:

Is the destination folder monitored and controlled by any software? That might lock your new audio files, so that dBpa can't finish to write the tags. Try to convert to a totally different destination folder in the root.

Converting which format to which format? Try converting files held locally on the computer and not using network shares if using that.

Thank you, Dat Ei and Spoon for your responses!

Dat Ei: Great thoughts. Here's more info: I have anti-virus software running (I know, I know, macs don't need it...long story) so I disabled it. As for source and destination, I just tried multiple set ups: destination same as source on an external drive, destination same as source on the internal drive, destination different from source on external drive, destination different from source on internal drive. Also, when using the internal drive, I made sure that the folders were not monitored by iCloud just to be safe. In each instance, tho, the problem still occurred.

Spoon: for the conversions, I'm converting from wav to MP3. I have also tried FLAC but the same issue came up. Also, thank you for the suggestion to only convert locally held files--everything is either on the internal drive of the computer or on an external drive connected via USB.

        Thanks!

Looking at the image, it looks like just a display update issue, the button 'Finish' has enabled which shows the conversion has finished. We will investigate why for next version.

Sounds good! Ultimately, my concern was that something had gone wrong with the conversion process, but hearing from you that the conversion has truly finished removes that fear. Thank you!
