    ALAC Option not visible

Hi, Apologies if I'm missing something obvious here, but when I load a FLAC file I no longer have the option to convert to ALAC. The codec is installed and selected to be visible. Any thoughts?

You should not have to install the codec for a version newer than R17, which version do you have?

      Hi Spoon,
Apologies for the late reply as I've been dealing with a family trauma.
      I have just updated to V 2025-04-17 (2)
I am running MACOS Sequoia 15.3.2
      The issue persists.

I can see the ALAC codec is installed and selected to be a visible option in settings.

When selecting a FLAC file for conversion to ALAC I'm only offered the following codecs:

I have also converted FLAC to WAV and tried to convert the WAW to ALAC. The option is not visible with that workflow either.
I have not had this problem in the past and wonder if a MACOS Update is to blame?
        I should say I'm using a MacBook Pro M3

dBpoweramp Control Center >> Advanced Settings >> Converter >> 'hidden encoders'

Ensure that there are no check marks on that page.

Thanks Spoon. I said at the outset it would be a schoolboy error
