Audio Info as a plugin?

I use FileLocator Pro to search through my files. I would like to be able to do a search for audio files based on type and bitrate, such as MP3, or sample size and sample rate such as FLAC.
Obviously, the Music Converter Explorer plugin provides this info on mouse over. Is there a dll, library, sdk or api that I could leverage to build a FLP plugin to search audio files.
I am an experienced C, C++ developer.
Or is there an illustrate tool that will search all my folders and provide input suitable to Music Converter batch mode.

My end goal is to resample FLACs higher than 24/48 down to 24/48.

Load Batch Converter >> select root folder >> click List, sort on Sample Rate, or Bit depth

OK, that's badass. It was a little fiddly trying to figure out the alt-click selection, but I eventually got it to do what I wanted.
