48k wav to DSD - upsamples to 96k?

I needed to create DSD from 24bit/48k wav files. I created DSD64 files using the batch converter and sent the files off for delivery. I received a reply asking if I had upsampled the audio to 96k. I hadn't and I see no controls for that in the dBpoweramp converter. I converted some of the DSD64 files back to wavs - choosing same as source for sample rate and bit depth and sure enough, the WAVs created were 24/96k. Is this supposed to happen? If not, how can I prevent the upsampling? Thanks

DSD does not have a sample rate as PCM, it is the conversion back which sets this, you can include a DSP effect 'Sample Rate' to set the wave sample rate as you require.
