Having A Blonde Moment

OK, so I remember setting DBP up when I bought it, but I can't remember what settings I used for conversion. I always convert to FLAC as it's my preferred codec, however when I select a group of files, then right click DBP and Convert it comes up with this image and I can't see where to check the output information.... can someone help me please??

Hi there

I've searched everywhere to find a solution to this but with no luck.
I visited: file:///C:/Program%20Files/dBpoweramp/Help/dMC/dMC.htm and the box below doesn't appear when I right click a music file (or files) and use the Explorer option to open DBPoweramp.


This essentially means I have no control over the export settings or encoding options.
I have uninstalled the program and re-installed it (after rebooting my computer) but it's still the same.

if I can't edit these options then the program is of no use to me as I have almost 30,000 files to encode.

Please can someone help with this.

Your encoder is FLAC, which have different encoder settings to mp3.

Thanks for your reply, does this mean I have no control over the output settings if converting to FLAC? I.E. I can't change the options to, say, 16bit, 24bit, 44.1khz, 96khz?
I understand the image I posted shows an MP3 Lame conversion, but in the encoder field at the top there is a down arrow suggesting other encoding options? From what you are saying there are no other options for encoding? i.e. FLAC, Wav etc?

FLAC is a lossless encoder, it encodes as the source is.

If you need to change those settings use DSP effects:

Bit depth
Sample Rate

etc

OK, I get it now - I thought DSP effects were far too in depth for simple bit rate and sample conversions
Maybe some bog standard conversion combinations would be helpful in a quicker menu - love the program, but this was clunky...
