MusicConverter.exe-Entry Point Not Found

I have XP with the music converter/dmc Aux. Input. When I select the program I get a error - The procedure entry point WMCreateSyncReader could no be located in the dynamic link library WMVCore.DLL. Please help I don't understand what this is doing or means. Noted also that the program has a problem with the recording both in manual and auto start and stops. Thanks.
