Installation of latest version hangs on register dll's

I purchased the latest version as upgrade today.
After I finished the download I tried to install it but the installation hangs.
It's telling me for hours now that it's installing dBpoweramp Relase 2024.05.30
Registering Dlls. When I hit cancel it deinstalls

Uninstall the old version, reboot system (full shut down and restart), install the new version.

I have a clean windows 11 24H2 install. dBpoweramp release 2014.11.04. It spends hours Registering Dlls, but not doing anything. Do you have a newer version then this one that does install?

Just restart your computer, those actions are performed last, and they software will be correctly installed at that point.

Updating to 2025-02-07 and again not going past registering DLL's. Reboot did not solve the problem. Remove old installation and re-installing new version did not resolve the problem. dBpoweramp-Reset does nothing. Please fix this bug.

It is not a bug, we do a system call to register a DLL, and for what ever reason on your system it sits and does not progress.

dBpoweramp is installed 100's of times per day (from our download logs), this forum would be full of messages about the same, yet yours is the only one.

I will note that once on a reinstall on one of our systems it sat for 5 minutes on registering dll then progressed.

As it is right at the end of the install, if left 1 hour, you can end task the installer.

There are a bunch of dlls in the \dbpoweramp\ folder (not encoder, or decoder subfolder), type start >> cmd (right click on Command Prompt and select run as administrator).

Then in the command prompt type:

            regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\dBpoweramp\dMCShell.dll"

and it does the same thing, go through each of the dlls.
