Downloaded Mixcloud HQ Audio File .oog (Opus ?) not recognized

I downloaded a Mixcloud HQ Audio File .oog (Opus ?) but dMC seems unable to read tags and to convert the file.
I can read this file in Firefox but not in VLC...

oog is not opus, they are miss named ogg files, rename to .ogg

My file is well downloaded with .ogg extension. I did a typo in post title...

Try renaming to .opus then if you think is opus.

Are these files copy protected?

I downloaded this file from Mixcloud with Internet Download Manager, I don't know if t's "copy protected". I can ply it in Firefox, but not in VLC, and dMC seems to not recognize it... not able to read tags and not able to convert it... Thanks.

Since you can play it in Firefox. Try ctrl+i while playing it. Open the media tab and see what details you can find about it.
You might even be able to save it as something else.
