songs are't playing gapless after ripping (ripped from gapless CD)

Hi,

I’m new at the forum. bought a few weeks ago dBpoweramp Music converter and ripping my CD’s was first class.

I’m sure that my problem was already discussed in this forum, but I can’t find it.

My problem:

Some CD’s like Pink Floyd “Dark side of the moon” doesn’t play gapless after ripping.
Between each song there is a gab of about 2 seconds.

What did I make wrong?

My installation:

PC : iMac + dBpower software
Server: Synology 415play
Streamer: Marantz na11s1 + Marantz app on Mac iPad

The issue is with your player. Rips are gapless but not all players can work with gapless. I suspect your player is using dlna/upnp streaming, which is not gapless unless a player has a special implementation of dlna. Try your rips on, say foobar2000 as a windows player and you'll see that they play gapless.

Ps. This is why many use squeezeboxes or sonos as network streamers because they are not using dlna.

Yes it is in deed an dlna/upnp steamer, but in the the owner specification is written:

"Support for Gapless playback
Playback with no gap between music files (for
WAV/FLAC only)"
That means that the specification isn't correct??


Perhaps an question to other dBpower users who the also an Marantz streamer to they have the same problems or do i something wrong.

If this gapless playback claim is from Marantz and it is not working, what do Marantz say on the matter?
