Conversion of w64 files

Have downloaded the w64 codec and have latest version of Dbpoweramp. I only get error messages when trying to do a direct conversion from W64 to FLAC. I have tried converting to Wav from the W64 file, tried converting to AIFF. Software works for a few seconds on WAV conversion and a couple of minutes for AIFF. Each time, conversion finishes, but files will not play. No point in converting files to FLAC that will not play.
I am struggling for a solution. Anyone have a suggestion. Some of these files are really large while others are not. Doesn't matter, none of them will convert to a playable format.

Perhaps the issue is the w64 file? can anything play it?
