Well, I got it to work.....It appears that the folder name had some problem. I copied the files to my desktop and
all worked fine... It even works with firewall and a/v on and with default settings. So, watch those folder names!

    Mac conversion error

    Hello,
I just downloaded for my Mac (Yosemite 10.10.3). I'm a long time Windows user, so it seemed all good, but I am
getting an error converting from FLAC to ALAC. What am I doing wrong?
    Thanks,
    Brewmaster
