Insert Audio CD show no tracks, nothing read

I have a Dell 450Mhz running Win98SE and the default "dBpowerAMP Music Converter" installation. I've tried several CDs and none are read. Yet I can read them and rip them in WMP.

Have a look Support >> Audio CD Input - there is a section on ASPI, try the testing programs, if there are problems with ASPI (the dlls used to talk to the CD drive) then install the ASPI update.
