    Conversion frequency and quality

    Hello

If someone could assist please. I have two questions...

    1. How many times can one convert the original lossless file before it itself loses quality; or does it not lose quality at all regardless of how many times conversions are made from it?

    2. If you convert NOT from the original lossless but from a lossless file down the line i.e. file 2 was from the original, file 3 converted from 2, 4 from 3 etc. do you lose quality like this? Or is it fine because it's always lossless to lossless?

    Thanks in advance.

Converting from lossless to lossless never loses quality, regardless of the number of conversions.
Converting from lossless to lossy loses quality on every conversion.

Yes you are right, it is fine because it's lossless to lossless.
