    It should be possible to automate for non-interactive use. (NCH's WavePad has an automatic algorithm that works pretty well.)
    I take it this is not available in dBPowerAmp, then ...

    Don't know about Finder integration in OSX, but as to your *2 question....that's definitely work for an audio editor, which dBp isn't.

    1. Would/could/should it be possible to right click sound files in Finder (OS X) and select Convert with dBPowerAmp?
    2. Is there a DSP effect I could just to trim away noise (or do I need wavelab or some other app)?
