I'm in the process of converting my music library from ALAC to AIFF. I ripped almost all the files from CDs using CD Ripper. Most worked smoothly during the conversion. However, there are a good number (and I'm only up to J) where I have error messages associated with the tracks:
-- Unable to decode m4a file (is corrupt or not supported audio type); or
-- Error passed audio buffer if too small. [ALACDEC::DecodeBlock]
Here is an example or the first:
Error converting to Aiff, 'H:\iTunes\iTunes Media\ALAC\Claire Martin\Too Much in Love to Care - 192\05 - You Turned the Tables on Me.m4a' to 'H:\AIFF\iTunes\iTunes Media\ALAC\Claire Martin\Too Much in Love to Care - 192\05 - You Turned the Tables on Me.aif'
Unable to decode m4a file (is corrupt or not supported audio type).
And here is the second:
Error converting to Aiff, 'H:\iTunes\iTunes Media\ALAC\Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young\So Far\09 Helpless.m4a' to 'H:\AIFF\iTunes\iTunes Media\ALAC\Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young\So Far\09 Helpless.aif'
Error m4a audio file is corrupt. [ALACDEC::DecodeBlock]
Do I need to re-rip? I have FLAC copies and can try to convert those to AIFF if in fact the ALAC copies are corrupt.
Thanks,
-David
