    mp32wav

    Hi,

I posted here a while back about converting mp3 files to wav. Well, I installed the directx, and the mpeg.ex files on the win98SE system; no effect. Whenever trying to convert mp3 to wav I get an illegal operation message, with a bunch of numbers and something about stack dump. Also, When playing a wav from any source I hear skippage and jumps, not always in the same place. I'm using a sb live audigy card. Do I need to renstall the drivers for it, or do i need to reinstall windows?

Do you have something like Seti@Home running in the background? When the system is fully loaded, there seems to be a problem with the Live/Audigy drivers that makes the sound skip and/or crackle.
