downloads wont work on sony products

im trully frustrated, iconverted 4000 songs to my hard drive and when i bun a disc of these mp3s my portable wont even accept it as mp3-(window says NOT MP3) and my car mp3 every song on the cd skips or gliches) i have a bunch of cds that work in all my mp3 players once you upgraded all these problems started last time we tried using the old lame download and that seemed to work i since have purchased a new computer with xp(i had windows 98 prior) and i downloaded both the new version and the old lame but now i have the above problem the cd i burned will play in my home dvd/mp3 player but not the others please help and please tell me thers somehow i can use those converted files thanks mike

Check they are being created with the old lame version (after conversion hold the mouse over, it should say Lame 3.70?)

It might be the CD disc type, if it is different, your CD players might be having problems to read it, try another CD manufacturer?
