Flac to Wav not working!

I'm trying to convert music files from .flac to .wav and I keep getting the same error code:

I have no idea what I'm supposed to do to correct this error. Can someone help?

Format Tag: 353

This means you are not creating a standard wave file, rather a compressed wave file, select Uncompressed PCM as the type of wave file.

Actually I wanted to create a compressed .wav file. Is that not possible?

Also, will a PCM file play as if it was a .wav file?

Uncompressed wave is the way most people use wave. Why do you convert flac to wave?

I'm trying to be able to transfer it to a USB stick so I can use it in my car. I've ripped my entire collection onto a disk as flac files. I would like to be able to shrink the size so I can get more files onto a 128gb usb drive.

If no way to compress than I guess it doesn't matter if it's .wav or pcm. But I still seem to be having problems with the program. I keep getting "coreconverter.exe has encountered a problem and needs to close". Do you know what could be causing this?

For your car, you would be best creating an mp3 file.

The close error, it happens when converting which format to which?

In this case it was flac to pcm.
