Hello!
Let me quote from the help file you get after installing the Dalet .snd codec for dBpoweramp:
Whilest 48kHz is a widely used sample rate for video-audio (movies, DVD, etc), for music-audio (CD's etc) 44.1kHz is used. As such, quite a lot of Dalet systems use the following settings:
Dalet MPEG Audio 44.1 kHz stereo 256000 bps 5.6
I find it quite a pitty that I can't use the codec in dBpoweramp with 44.1kHz as encoding setting. Without such a setting, the codec is pretty much useless for us.. :(
Let me quote from the help file you get after installing the Dalet .snd codec for dBpoweramp:
The encoder will create Dalet files at bitrates between 128 and 384kbps, sample rates of 32kHz and 48kHz and in mono, stereo (joint stereo) or dual mono.
Sample rate sets how many samples per second will be used in the file. It also defines the audio bandwidth of the audio signal (just under half the sample rate). Most broadcasters in Europe use 48kHz, in the USA 32kHz is more popular.
