Not sure where to post this question but here goes. I am trying to convert my music over to digital files. I have tried Jriver as a music manager but not sure about it ripping of the files. Looking at illustrate products and I am confused about what products from your company I would need dbpoweramp or AccurateRip or do I need both. Can someone explain do these programs work together or they independent programs.

For ripping you need dbpoweramp R15.1. It includes the ability to check your rips automatically against the ACCURATERIP database. PerfectTunes is a separate program that will take albums *that you have already ripped* and do an "after the fact" comparison back to the ACCURATERIP database. PerfectTunes also has the ability to search for and add higher quality album art to your prior rips.

Ok I am still a little confused. From reading how ACCURATERIP works I thought it would check the files for errors while it was doing the recording (like Exact Copy) but with a better and more complete interface. If not does dBpoweramp preform this function. Or do I need both Exact Copy and dBpoweramp

EAC and dbpoweramp serve exactly the same purpose. They are "bitperfect" secure rippers. They can both compare your rips to AccurateRip database as an extra check. dbpoweramp is more user friendly (in my opinion) and has a few bells and whistles under the hood that may make it more efficient than EAC. Keep in mind that the creator of dbpoweramp also created the ACCURATERIP database system (even though other rippers like EAC and cuetools use it too). And bottom line, with or without the ACCURATERIP checking, both dbpoweramp and EAC will determine if there are any errors in the rips, while you are ripping and report those errors to you in the ripping log.
