Hello,
Downloaded trial version of dBPowerAmp to see whether it met my needs, before purchase.
System details:
OS: Microsoft Windows XP Pro Version 2002 OEM, with SP3 and all latest MS Patches
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 3.4GHz
RAM: 2GB
CD/DVD Writer: Samsung SH-S223C latest Firmware: SB07
Options selected prior to ripping:
WAV option
Encoder: Uncompressed. All settings left as source
DSP: RGReplayGain
Secure RIP enabled.
CD/DVD Drive has CL2 error correction, enabled.
Problem:
Unable to complete RIP of CD because the software always locks up on the last track to be ripped. All the other tracks are ripped OK. Tried two different lengths of CD , same result.
I also upgraded the software on my CD/DVD writer to the latest firmware build which is SB07. This had no effect on the result.
This is the message I get when it reaches the last track to be ripped:
Pass 1 Ripping 99%. The program then hangs. Left overnight with same result. CD length: 1:12:04
Tried another shorter length CD with same result.
Cancelled last track RIP and the programs shows " cancelling" and hangs.
Unable to cancel program, have to force program to quit using Windows Task Manager.
Is there a bug in this latest software, or is my CD/DVD writer defective?
