no write codecs under Rio600

Under dMC Configuration, my Rio 600 shows no write codecs under Installed Compression Codecs (write). ie nothing between the brackets [ ]. Is this right? If not, how do I correct this?

I am receiving illegal operation notices sometimes (sic) when trying to convert wav files into mp3 directly onto the Rio.

That is normal.

Does it crash (as you can tell) when sending to Rio or compressing to mp3 (before sending). You can try converting to mp3 first then sending through Sveta Explorer.

Thanks for the reply.
I discovered that the wav file I was attempting to convert was a Microsoft 32 bit float (?) format ('Audacity' software) which obviously the converter could not work with. Is there a codec for this one?
