    Re: Test Conversion

If for example you have FLAC files, it decodes the flac files and compares the decoded result with the stored md5, thus being able to detect corrupted files.

Each audio format is different, such as wave with little corruption detection in the format.

      Re: Test Conversion

as Spoon pointed out it is great for detecting file corruption. If I copy all my files to a new HDD, I then run "test conversion" on all the FLAC files (in a single batch) and this gives me comfort that nothing got corrupted in the copying. (and this is a major benefit of FLAC over WAV...not just better tagging, but the ability to "self test" for corruption.

Thanks for the info guys. I ran a test conversion on a few flac files but I didn't get an results show. Does that mean all the files were ok or should there still be results whether the files are corrupted or not?

Only errors are listed, so no results means no errors.
