Can I extract audio portion from a DVD with dMC?

I bought a whole series of instructional courses in DVD format because they included lots of pictures, charts, etc. Turns out that was a waste of money because the important stuff is in the included booklets. Can I use dMC to extract only the audio, so I can burn it to CD and play the CD's during my commute to work?

    Thanks in advance.

If you play it into the computer 'Auxiliary Input' will be able to record from the line-in.

I'm not sure I understand. Are you saying play the DVD, but instead of using the speakers, just use a cable to route the audio output to the input and record what's coming in? That sounds too good to be true! Do I need a special cable, or just one with a mini-stereo plug on each end? What format should I record in, or does it not matter?

      Again, thank you in advance.

No, it's not too good to be true. That's the "easy" way of doing it. The fact that you need another cable notwithstanding.
