You might have selected a combination of Bitrate and frequency that Lame cannot create, try changing the bitrate.

I tried also with the CD-RW and recive the same error message.
(I am tryeing to rip from a cda format to mp3.
I tried with different bitrates, and to different formats (Lame; Frau; Ogg) recieving always error messages.

Ripping from CD-Rs can be funny, try a normal Audio CD to make sure it is working normally.

well we better check some basics first. what OS are you using?

                for win98se

                start-->programes-->dbpoweramp-->cofiguration-->file association
then make sure in that window that cda file has a tick in the box and then select ok.

I am using XP pro, and the last beta of dMC. It is configurated as 2000/NT Built -in (limited).

It was ripping fine untill I de-install and Re-install my both CD-Rom and CD Writer...

Files are prperly associated with dbpowerAmp.

I get thsi messege with both CD drives:

The output file 'C:\Converted Music\Mozart\Requiem \Violin Concerto in E (BWV 1042) Allegro assai3.12J. S. BachBrandenburg Concertos - Violin Concertos13.ogg' could not be opened.

The same happens with Lame or Frau...

                    Thanks for answering, Mariano

                      'C:\Converted Music\Mozart\Requiem \

the problem is \Requiem \ (see the space after the folder name). Now if you are on the latest version of dMC, I thought that it should be impossible to specify this space, how did you get this space?

I dont know how i got that space, it does not appear when i browse the folder with the win commander...

But it was in fact the cause of the error. I changed in Options/ Rip to folder/, and worked fine.

                        Thanks again.
