Converting a 24-bit FLAC to AIFF gives me pure noise

I just purchased Jason Derulo - Tattoos EP from HDTracks (24-bit, FLAC, ~1600kbps, 44Khz)

I now want to convert the song files to AIFF so that I can add them to iTunes.

Right click, convert to, select AIFF (same as source for all three options), convert, finish. When I open the AIFF file, is just noise.

What am I doing wrong?

No DSP effects / R15 + Perfectunes (no extra codecs from Illustrate installed) / K-Lite Mega Codec Pack installed / Windows 7 x64

UPDATE: Converting the songs to WAV and ALAC works perfectly fine. It is AIFF the one that is giving me problems. Whats going on?

Convert to Wave and try to play in iTunes, does that have noise?

I just tried the converted .aif file in a different player (Media Player Classic instead of winamp) and it worked perfectly fine!

I have also tried adding and playing the converted .aif and .wav files in iTunes and they both play perfectly fine.

What do you think could be causing winamp not to play the .aif conversions? Could it be that it's aiff codec is outdated? (Im using latest winamp version 5.66).

Very strange... I really didnt expect winamp to fail like this...

Yes it is likely it is not compatible with 24 bit aiff files
