crash when converting to ogg

i just got this program and when i try to convert a 2 mb wav file to ogg it crashes on me. why does it crash???:headbang:

That's like saying 'why does my computer crash'. It could be any number of things.

It would help greatly if you could post some information about your computer, such as:

• Windows version
• dMC version
• Ogg Vorbis codec version
• what other programs were running at the time

And so on.

oh sorry im new to this so i wasnt sure about how complicated the problem could be.

im using ME
dmc version 8d
ogg release 6 (Ogg RC3)
the only program i was running was netscape 6.2 (aside from systray and explorer)

i edited the song from 10 mb to 2 (i dont know if this matters or not)

the error message is "Musicconverter has caused an error in MUSICCONVERTER.EXE. Musicconverter will now close."

i cant think of anything else to put so just ask if you need it. thanks

ok i got the file to convert. i think the problem was that edited the file, which may have screwed something up.
