    codexes for WPM

A friend recommended your website for converting WMP wma's to mp3's. I have WMP8

But after downloading and trying to convert, I didn't see the wma on the drop down menu. Went back to your website and found the codexes for WMP but both seem to require an upgrade to WMP9.

I have XP at home and was fortunate enough to set a restore point before upgrading to WMP9 from 8. It was a disaster. None of my videos (mpg ani) would play properly. They would start then the picture would go black but the audio continued. Just one of the problems. The newsgroup that MSN recommended for my problem had 30+ entries with similar problems and NO solutions listed. WMP9 would not uninstall. So I went back to the checkpoint before the installation and finally got rid of it.

Is there any way to be able to convert wma to mp3 with your program WITHOUT having to use WMP9????

You don't need WMP9, the codecs just are WMA v9.

      This IS a dumb question!

'WMA v9' is just an upgraded version of the codecs...right??

      Cheers,
