Album Artist tag added when converting FLAC to mp3 when COMPILATION =1

In some testing today with R15 I noticed an odd outcome. I have a FLAC file that has no ALBUM ARTIST, ALBUMARTIST, OR BAND tag. But it does have COMPILATION=1. When I convert this FLAC to mp3, all works as expected, except an ALBUM ARTIST = Various Artists gets added as a tag. ALBUM ARTIST does NOT get added if I convert a file with no COMPILATION tag.

Is there something I need to do in DSP for ID TAG UPDATE in conversion to make sure ALBUM ARTIST is not added to mp3 file?

It is internal to the tagging routines, we do this because iTunes does it also (I believe).

yep, one of the things I don't like about itunes is what it does (or doesn't do) with ALBUM ARTIST. Don't know how hard it would be, but it would be very nice for my use case if I could turn this off. That is, I *sometimes* have ALBUM ARTIST for compilations in special cases, but typically do not. So I can't even use the DSP for automatically editing ID tags after conversion as sometimes I want AA and sometimes not. I'll put something in wishlist forum. Thanks.
