What's the best quality that the AAC encoder used by the converter can achieve? I'm trying to convert a large quantity of FLAC files to aac/mp4 to put on my ipod, but I'd like to use 192 kbps vbr for them. Is that possible with dBpowerAMP?

Using The Extreme Preset will produce the level of quality you are looking for IMHO. You should experiment with the other presets til you find which one that sounds the best to you.but I'd like to use 192 kbps vbr for them. Currently Nero is just about the only popular codec that supports VBR.Originally posted by FirebladeHmm, okay, thanks. Does it support VBR, though? I read that the encoder used by Nero does.
VBR support will probally be added later. Also the codec that DBpowerAmp uses will most likely improve too.Comment
