Trouble with one song "The Rose" Amanda Mcbroom "Dreaming"

    Hi Hi,

I got trouble with one specific song "The Rose" By Amanda McBroom's Album "Dreaming". This CD that I got is from Gecko Record.
While the CD is old, ie, the album was released in 1996, the condition appear to be good.

However, when I rip and convert to FLAC and APE, the sound in the initial section is choppy. While with WAV & Apple Lossless, it sounded okie.
This is really strange for me and it is only this specific song having problem.

Wondering anyone is keen to investigate. I am using VLC as the general music playout to test the quality, my usual player is my android phone.

I intend to rip my CD collection to FLAC to preserve it.

This is the similar CD I found on amazon.

Yes, it did. Which I think the trouble might be more of the FLAC / APE encoding vs the ripping.
Hence, I post in the Music Converter forum instead of The CD ripping section.

Personally speaking, I think this song is a one off.

However, it does puzzled me why this is special. and Apple Lossless works okie.

VLC has bugs to do with FLAC playback, make sure you are on latest version.
