Convert .sowt audio file

Hi, I extracted the audio of a .mov video and I got a .sowt audio file which is not played by any player. According to this page http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-aiff.htm I understand that it is kind of aiff format, so I renamed the extension from .sowt to .aiff, but when I try to convert it with dbpoweramp I get "Error first chunk unknown: [clAIFFHandler::ScanFile]"
Any clue what can I do? Thank u

sowt can be contained in an AIFF file, however .sowt is not an aiff file, dBpoweramp will not be able to convert it.

Ok, here is how I solved it. I use MPEG Streamclip 1.2 for Windows (freeware).
I opened the original .mov video file with MPEG Streamclip. Then, I went to "File" and select "Export Audio". I chose Aiff format, and clicked OK.
The Aiff file I got was able to be handled by Dbpoweramp, so I converted it to Wave format which was the format I needed it.
