Unable to rip track 01 on all audio cd's

    hello!

i keep getting this error message for any cd i try to rip:
    CODEC decompression error for '\\CdRom\Track01.cda'
Unable to Rip track - make sure correct Ripping method is selected and CD Drive supports digital audio extraction.

i had the default settings, but tried changing the 2000/nt to the limited setting after reading another post, but it didn't help my situation any. (i don't know what the mcc selection part does and if that affects anything.) on three different cd's i've had the same problem, no matter what cd drive it is in (cd-r or cdr/rw). the rest of the tracks rip fine. the cd's i am trying to rip are japanese original cd's that are 'copy control cd' s

i am currently running win xp pro, sp 1. um if there's any other info that you need, please let me know! (i was using the audio cd input part of the program).

    thanks for the help!

If you have specified a drive offset it could try to read before the disc starts, which your drive might not allow.

hmmm if its usually set to be 0, i don't think that's the problem. i just left it as default. i'll try again though. any other potential ideas?

      thanks so much!
