Question about RUN external

Hello
Is possible using run external write a txt file after conversion process with same name of file
Example if file is audio-file1.mp3 when process is completed write after using some command line file called audio-file1.done
Is just a empty file.
I use that file for indicate to other process conversion is ready.

Is possible do that, can guide to em with some example?
