Newbie Help required - Flac conversion to Itunes, etc

Recently purchased this product suite and it is as good as I expected. Probably better!

Currently I'm ripping once using the "rip once rip right" methodology to Flac Lossless Level 5. Like others I have hundreds/thousands of CDs. So although a long process I know it will be worth it.

We do use Itunes across Ipods, Ipads, etc so I wish to create two additional libraries for Itunes to access - One Lossless HQ - One Compressed - in effect I would have 3 copies of the data - FLAC, Apple Lossless and MP3.

Now some questions I would like answered if someone would be so kind:

    - am I correct in saying that I could use the Music Converter software to run a batch process to take the Flac files and convert them to Apple Lossless & MP3 to new locations on my server?
    - will this take the meta data and pictures?
    - before I convert to new formats should I run the "Perfect Tunes" on the FLAC library? I would assume yes, but better to check!

    Thanks in advance.

It is possible to rip to multi-encoder and create all 3 versions at the same time (in different locations)

Using Batch Converter, you can include the DSP Effect Folder.jpg Preserve to copy that file (embedded tags and art are automatically copied)

If you have just ripped the tracks, PerfectTUNES should not be required (in that they will already have art, you could remove duplicates later though).

Many thanks! You are Da Man alright.

I guess I should have asked this question before I started. I did try and read all the config guides before I started. I must have missed the multi-encoder option.

      Thanks again.
