.m4a to .wav

Hi, new user here. I'm trying to convert a file from Garageband to wav and get this error:

Error converting to Test Conversion, 'C:\Users\Rich\Music\soundcloud\Pop Goes Up (GB).m4a' to 'C:\Users\Rich\Music\soundcloud\Pop Goes Up (GB).IGNORE'
Unable to decode m4a file (is corrupt or not supported audio type).


The file plays fine on my pc - is there something I'm missing?

There is an option at the bottom of the forum 'show threads from'

I just figured out the problem. I had exported the song to Soundcloud and then downloaded it from there (actually both files I tried). It must have gotten corrupted in the process. I emailed it directly to my PC from GarageBand on my Ipad and they converted fine.
