Convert 192 kHz to 96 kHz sample rate?

My receiver won't play ALAC, and will only play FLAC files up to 96 kHz. When I convert ALAC 192 kHz sample rate to FLAC, it remains 192 kHz. Is there a way to convert ALAC 192 kHz to FLAC 96 kHz? I'm trying to avoid sacrificing sound quality by going down to Mp3.

    Thanks

Use the DSP effect Resample whilst converting.

Immediately after installing DSP effects, everything I convert now turns to a loud hiss. I tried uninstalling both programs, and reinstalling just dbpoweramp without DSP effects but it still converts everything to a hissing sound. Any suggestions?

        Try:

...also how to do a full reset of dBpoweramp? (if dBpoweramp crashes for some reason) Where does dBpoweramp save its files / settings? It is installed to c:\Program Files\Illustrate\dBpoweramp or c:\Program Files (x86)\Illustrate\dBpoweramp The 64 bit version of dBpoweramp is installed to: c:\Program Files\dBpoweramp It

Although I think it is something other than the DSP effects (if they are not being used, as they are just dlls nothing more or less, perhaps the fault is in the player?)

Re: Convert 192 kHz to 96 kHz sample rate?

I've uninstalled dbpoweramp, used the reset program from the link above to make sure everything was gone, then reinstalled. I can convert any ALAC 44.1 kHz to FLAC 44.1 kHz without a problem. However, if the sample rate of the ALAC is above 44.1 kHz (i.e. 96 or 192), the converted FLAC file is just a hissing noise - regardless of whether I use the DSP effect Resample or not. I've listened to the original ALAC, and converted FLAC files, in 4 different players to make sure that wasn't the problem.

Any suggestions for how I can convert ALAC files with a sample rate over 44.1 kHz to FLAC?

          Thanks!

            Are you running dBpoweramp R14.4?

Can you upload one Apple Lossless file to somewhere like dropbox so we might take a look at it.

                  good day,
I am using R.15 & having the same issue,
192khz to 88.2khz produces silence or hiss,
                  192khz to 48khz works well,
I did not have this problem with R.14.4,
I've installed DSP 11 Beta to try to solve this issue to no avail,
                  please advise,
                  thank you,
                  PP

Which audio formats are you converting from and to?

Confirmed bug, will fix for next R15.1 beta update.
