    Why wrong Albumname in .mp3?

    Hello

I have W8, 64bit and I edit in Explorer the mp3 tags. With this Album dBpoweramp will show a different albumname than Mp3tag. I guess Mp3tag is correct.

Why is this so? I was not able to find why.

    Here a file:

    Thanks
    Christian

You have 3 different ID tags in the file, mp3 tag might be using id3v2 and dbpoweramp might be using the APEv2 tag to base off. Neither is right or wrong if you have conflicting tags in the file.

      Ok, thanks I see.

The ID3V1 I can remove with Tag&Rename (still no change after that), but how can I get rid of APEv2?

Or how can I force to use ID3V2, because my Squeezebox/Logitech Media Server uses the tags with Albumname ".... Special Edition". - which is I guess ID3V2...

Because I only use MP3 for Logitech Media Server, I really would appreciate if dBpoweramp uses the same tags as default.

      What can I do?
      Thank you.

        Use MP3Tag to remove ID3v1 and APEv2.
