Feature Request or How To Request (Specifiy "Encoding" Directory)

I often batch convert from Flac direct to slow devices (USB Sticks, Android Phone over USB etc.)

But it rips to the large WAV file first onto the slow device then reads it back on the slow device then writes it to MP3. No Wait, hold on, that's what it does for ripping.

For converting I'm not sure if it converts (Decodes to a common format then re-encodes to new format or not) but it's extremely slow going direct to the slow device.

For example I just ripped a 4 CD Boxed Set to Flac for the Main library.

Now I want to put MP3's on a USB stick for the Car. Exactly what Music Converter is great for.

If I go direct to USB Stick it takes 30 minutes.

If I go to a fast SSD drive first, then manually copy onto the stick it takes 7 minutes (5 minutes for Convert and 2 minutes for the copy).

It would be so nice if you could specify a staging directory for encoding then just do a fast final copy to the target.

Try the encode local codec (in the beta section of this forum).
