DSP question when converting from FLAC to ALAC

I rip my CD's to FLAC using dbPoweramp and include the DSP setting 'RG ReplayGain'. After this I will convert some albums to ALAC for playing on my iPod/FiiO E11 setup. My question is, do I need to include the DSP setting again on the FLAC to ALAC conversion or is it enough to have in the original rip to FLAC, and the setting carries over sufficiently to ALAC? Does adding it in the conversion to ALAC degrade or diminish the audio quality?

    Thanks.

Re: DSP question when converting from FLAC to ALAC

The ReplyGain DSP does not alter the audio, it writes a volume adjust tag value which a compatible player can use.

When converting to ALAC, include the DSP again and check the 'Write iTuneNORM' box so apple can read the values.
