    freedb database

I am having a problem getting CD info from freedb - it gives an error message saying "Could not connect to freedb database, please check your internet connection". My connection to freedb works fine from both Nero and Instant CD/DVD and seems to be using the same settings as this program. Do you know what the problem could be please?

Also, the dBpowerAMP Music Converter will not convert from .wma files created by Windows Media Player 9 - is there a free plug-in that will allow this please?

    Thanks,
    Lucy

Windows Media Player 9 is configured, by default, to create copy protected files that you end up being able to read only in Windows Media Player 9. If you go to tools/options, then on the Copy Music tab, you will see some checkboxes, the topmost one will be checked, the one that says "Copy protect music". The only to get your old WMA to be unprotected is to rerip them with the copy protect option unchecked.

Also, about your FreeDB question. Go into dbpoweramp's options, you will find the freedb option and you will see that the server it's trying to connect to is freedb.freedb.org. Change that to us.freedb.org it should work.
