I am running a registered version of 14.3. I recently purchased a new desktop running Windows 8. All of my programs have been reinstalled with very little problems. I did notice though that now when I right-click a .flac file and click on Properties, the second tab(Audio Properties) all the information is missing. In particular, the size, bit-rate, length, channels, encoder, etc... all missing. Is this a quirk with Windows 8? It was all good under Windows 7.

Re: Missing information in Audio Properties
Try installing R14.4 which is in the beta section of this forum. -
Re: Missing information in Audio Properties
OK, I installed the beta. Same thing, no change. It's not just .flac files, but any kind of media file, .wav, .mp3, etc. Get Popup Info isn't working either. If I put the mouse cursor under a file the popup says: "Error, Decoder seems to have frozen, corrupt audio file?". I saw there was another thread with that same error message popup back in the Vista days.....but nothing there was a help.Comment

Re: Missing information in Audio Properties
Potentially your security software has blocked the getpopupinfo program from running.Comment

Re: Missing information in Audio Properties
I thought of that too, I use Norton Internet Security, but even if I turn it off the problem exists. I also created a rule in the security settings for the program to allow GetPopupInfo to always be allowed and no difference.
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED
Uncheck Run This Program as an Administrator is the Compatibility tap of the Properties dialog box for Getpopupinfo.exe.Comment
