24 bit to 16 bit conversion??

I'm new to converting. I just bought a 24bit flac file and want to convert it to 16 bit. I converted at default level 5, but after conversion, the files were the same size, should I be using a lower level??

You need to include the DSP effect 'Bit depth' set to 16 bit, otherwise the FLAC files you create are 24 bit the same as the source.
